I needed a small break from my tarot deck and Copics and ended up with this Witchy Woman. This witch drawing started off as a little sketch I did so I could play with my Tombow Fudenosuke calligraphy pen.
The pen itself has a wonderful little plastic “brush” tip that is stiff enough to make finer lines but also bends to give some variation in line width.
Because the ink in this pen is water based, I pulled out my Prismacolor colored pencils. I haven’t used them in a while.
I ended up blending with the colored pencils instead of a blender and because the lead is so soft, it wore down easily. I definitely put my new long point pencil sharpener through it’s paces.
I’m really quite happy with how this came out. I almost never bring drawings in my sketchbook to quite this level of completion. I usually stick with my lavender col-erase pencil and maybe a ink every now and then.
I’m not sure if I will make this drawing available as a print. Maybe if there’s enough interest. ❤
